Jose Castellano Cordova, 50, of Siler City passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026 surrounded by his family at home.

A Funeral Service to honor Jose’s life will be held at 9:00 AM on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at Lirio De Los Valles in Siler City with Pastor Neftali Espinoza officiating. Burial will follow at Chatham Memorial Park in Siler City. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Lirio Del Los Valles.

Jose was born on April 1, 1976 to Ezequiel Castellano Perez and Reyna Cordova Ventura in Tabasco, Mexico. He enjoyed spending time with his family, being outdoors, and traveling to the mountains. Jose worked in the poultry industry for several years and enjoyed building things around his home for his family and friends.

Jose is survived by his wife, Clara Mejia Zagada of the home, his children, Jocelyn Roman Zagada (Javier) of Ramseur, Luis Gustavo Castellano Tolentino (Daniela), Jose Roman Zagada, Diana Hernandez Zagada, Jair Castellano Zagada, and David Castellano Zagada, all of Siler City, his grandchildren, Javier Alexander Tadeo Zagada, Mariana Tadeo Zagada, Isabella Tadeo Zagada and Sophia Zagada. He is also survived by his brother, Martin Castellano Cordova, his sister Bartola Castellano Cordova and many family and friends.

Se celebrará un servicio fúnebre en honor a la vida de Jose a las 9:00 de la mañana del sábado 18 de julio de 2026 en Lirio De Los Valles, en Siler City, oficiado por el Pastor Neftalí Espinoza. Al concluir el servicio, el sepelio se llevará a cabo en Chatham Memorial Park, en Siler City. La familia recibirá a familiares y amigo para un tiempo de velación el viernes por la tarde, de 6:00 a 9:00 de la noche, en Lirio De Los Valles.

Jose nació el 1 de abril de 1976 de Ezequiel Castellano Perez y Reyna Cordova Ventura en Tabasco, Mexico. Disfrutaba pasar tiempo con su familia, estar al aire libre y viajar a las montañas. José trabajó durante varios años en la industria avícola y disfrutaba construir y reparar cosas en su hogar para su familia y sus amigos

A Jose le sobrevive su esposa, Clara Mejia Zagada, del Siler City; sus hijos, Jocelyn Roman Zagada (Javier), del Ramseur; Luis Gustavo Castellano Tolentino (Daniela), Jose Roman Zagada, Diana Hernández Zagada, Jair Castellano Zagada y David Castellano Zagada, todos de Siler City; sus nietos, Javier Alexander Tadeo Zagada, Mariana Tadeo Zagada, Isabella Tadeo Zagada y Sophia Zagada. También le sobreviven su hermano, Martín Castellano Cordova; su hermana, Bartola Castellano Cordova; así como numerosos familiares y amigos.
