Morris Allen Rice, Jr., 67 of Sophia, joined his Heavenly Father on August 17, 2026.

A Memorial Service to honor Allen's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Glenola Baptist Church, 8330 US-311, Archdale, NC, 27263. 

Allen was a loving husband, father, stepfather, brother and friend whose life was filled with family, laughter, adventure and simple joys. He will be remembered for the laughter and happiness he brought into the lives of everyone he touched.

Allen worked as a truck driver for Greenline, where he was known for his dedication and hard work. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, as a Non-Commission Officer. His time in the Air Force was an important part of his life and something he carried with pride.

Outside of work and service, Allen loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time surrounded by the people he loved. Allen appreciated the simple things in life, good company, time with family, a day outdoors and plenty of reasons to laugh.

Allen leaves behind his beloved wife, Judy; his sons, Christopher, Andrew and Daniel Rice; his stepdaughters, Rebecca and Jessica Littleton; three sisters; Misty, Ginger and Julie; and one brother; Phillip. He also leaves behind his grandchildren; Aniston, Tiger, Tedder, Bentley, Damon; Saleem and Adam as well as many other family members and friends who loved him dearly.

To know Allen was to know his laughter, his stories, and his ability to make life a little brighter. Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to have known him.

Allen leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love and memories that will last a lifetime.
