Ronald Winford “Ronnie” Allred, 66, of Ramseur passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem.
A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro with Rev. Brian Pierce officiating. Ronnie will lie in repose from noon until 5:00 PM on Wednesday afternoon at Coley Funeral & Cremation Service in Ramseur.
Ronnie was born in Randolph County on January 23, 1960 to the late Branson and Shirley Simmons Allred. He was a 1978 graduate of Eastern Randolph High School and attended Southern Pines Community College. Ronnie spent many years working for Freeman Ford in Liberty as an auto technician and enjoyed watching racing. He had a quirky sense of humor, a friendly spirit, and found the most joy in the simple things of life such as going out to dinner with his dad, friends, and anyone who wanted a seat at the table. Being outdoors was his favorite place to be, especially if it involved being around animals or riding the lawn mower and caring for his lawn.
In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by his precious wife of twenty-three years, Deborah Yvonne Owens Allred. He is survived by his children, Emily Allred Riggins and husband Cole of Burlington, Andy Allred of Whiteville, and was affectionately known as “Paparoni” to his grandchildren, Lilly and Carson Riggins. Ronnie was also survived by his sister, Cindy Allred Craven and husband Jimmy Carter of Ramseur, step-mother, Doris Allred of Asheboro, nephews, Dave Craven and Kent Craven (Brieanna), great-nieces, Sereniti and Finley Rae, as well as many other special family and friends, including his beloved “fur baby” Addison.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ramseur Food Pantry, PO Box 1168, Ramseur, NC 27316 or to Hospice of Randolph, 416 Vision Drive, Asheboro, NC 27203.
